Royal Town Crier Raves About The Winter Fair

The annual Mill Road Winter Fair was the best yet. It’s always a pleasure to have so many visit us for the delicious, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Our practice was a sanctuary from the cold winter weather and warm hospitality was available all day.

Our offerings of special half price sight tests promoted the importance of regular eye examinations and an Amazon Kindle was raffled. The lucky winner, 7 year old Bea, received an early Christmas present and was delighted with her new gadget.

The Royal Town Crier was a huge hit with the audience. His booming voice was heard along Mill Road announcing the exciting happenings at the practice. Everyone was enjoying his enthusiasm and inventive poses for photographs. What a fantastic character!

We always enjoy fundraising for charity and this year our focus was on The National Blind Children’s Society. Money raised from the sale of real handcrafted wreaths was donated to the trust and we would like to thank everyone who visited for their generosity to this worthwhile cause. We look forward to Mill Road Winter Fair next year.
