Winning Bookworm has super sight
This year, the drive to encourage young people to have their eyes tested has been the most successful yet.
Our lucky winner Abigail collected her book voucher and is thrilled to be able to get some new reading books for herself and her brother.
The Association of Optometrists state “Poor eyesight can have a significant effect on children’s ability to learn and on their behaviour – yet often goes unrecognised by teachers, parents and by children themselves.”
We are delighted to see that the importance of children’s eyesight has been acknowledged in the Cambridge area. It is vital that children’s eyes are tested from as young as 3. The earlier any kind of visual problem is noticed, the sooner it can be corrected and with a higher success rate.
We hope our winner has many enjoyable hours of reading!
