When I grow up I want to be…
Throughout the month of September, Taank Optometrists is running a free prize draw to win a £100 book voucher for your child. This is open to all under 19’s.
How to enter:
Simply book your child in for a sight test (free for children under 16 and those under 19 and in full time education) and we’ll do the rest.
Taank Optometrists is working in the interests of your child’s health. It’s estimated that 1 million children will return to school with an undiagnosed vision problem. So, even if you feel your child’s vision is fine, it’s still important to have a sight test.
What does your child want to be when they grow up? A fire-fighter? A pilot or maybe even a police officer? Children have fond dreams of what they will do one day. With the drive to succeed they will achieve this. The best place to start is with their eyes.
Occupations such as a pilot or police officer have visual requirements that will affect every applicant’s success. If a child has a visual impairment that goes unnoticed it can affect their vision long term ceasing the opportunity of them progressing in life.
Children can have their eyes tested from as young as three years old. Issues with eyes are not always obvious, it is therefore recommended that you have your child’s eyes tested as soon as possible after this age so that problems can be detected and resolved in their early stages.
